Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boys Like It Too My son is 2 and loves to read. I have always read him pretty gender neutral books. This book is pretty well marketed to girls (pink box and "princess" fairy tales). Because he is still pretty young he didn't care that it was princesses and he is a boy. I always point out the princes and the kings in the pictures and he didn't seem to have a problem with the "girl" book at all. He loves using the Talking Wand and doing the activities on each page. Some of the activities were a little advanced for him but that just means that he will learn and grow and the book won't become boring quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thoroughly Enjoyed I received Hot Dots Jr Princess Fairy Tales for free in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own. We already have enjoyed our Hot Dots Jr. Pre-K math set, so we were excited to test this new set out for review. Our daughter loves Rapunzel but usually isn't interested in other princess stories. She loved this entire set. She was excited to explore the different tasks and was adamant on doing it herself. Hot Dots Jr. makes it easy for little hands and fun for them to learn, all the while making me one happy Mama. I think the wand is a nice touch for this set as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All 3 Ages Loved the Game I have a few sets like this for my 4 year old granddaughter. She loves the magical wand and the sounds it makes. She also absolutely loves the story of Rapunzel. She gets all excited when she does the activities right and wants to "do it again" when she doesn't. I like that she is keeping her mind working. One of the activities that has really helped her is choosing the items under the table. Each activity is a little learning mixed with fun for her. The ones she already knows well are great for her self esteem. Of course being that it is about princess' makes it that much greater for her, the princess of this house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving it My daughter is 4 and a few months, loves princesses and loves books. So while I was optimistic about her enjoying the stories, I'll admit that, as an ex reading instructor, I was skeptical re. the activities. Is she ready for them? Will she be able to focus on both the story and the activities? The answers... a resounding yes. We read all four books in one sitting - her choice. She LOVED the activities. And I loved the insight I got into her pre-K skills: shape and color identification, prepositions, counting and number recognition, degrees of comparison, patterning etc. She's also really excited to "do it again" so yes, it really does deserve 5 stars.
