Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have gone through 2 in 10 months Really disappointed! Was excited because this didn't have the deep pockets like belgian. Have replaced it once already & hoped it was a fluke. It wasn't. The 'new' one stopped working during a batch of waffles. Not worth the time, money or effort.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Takes a really long time. I bought this last year and we've only used it a few times. I thought maybe the trouble the first time was we were running out of waffle mix and DH calculated wrong and made it with too much liquid. The second time I made a hazelnut based recipe I had never made before, and maybe we didn't preheat long enough. Tonight I made the waffle recipe in my standard Better Homes & Gardens cookbook, and while they were good, they took freakin' forever and I preheated the waffle iron well past when the light switched off. I think I plugged it in, then went and dug around for some blackberries in the deep freeze (for something else), then started the waffle batter, and for some stupid reason hand whipped the egg white to almost stiff peaks instead of digging out a mechanical means of egg beating, and that whole time it was preheating. it should have cooked a lot faster, but at least this time I managed to get them to almost look done, though they were still slightly underdone. I'm glad I didn't get rid of my old waffle iron yet. I haven't completely given up, but I do feel like this is less operator error and more appliance under-performance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not very durable I received this for Christmas less than 6 months ago and it's already broken. It has a ceramic plate so the waffles are not very crispy on the outside but the batter doesn't stick like it does with metal plates. Clean up is a breeze, just wipe and go. Most of the time I didn't even need to use cooking spray. But within 6 months of purchase the heating plates stopped working. I was in the middle of making waffles for my family and it just stopped cooking when the third batch was on. I tried it again a few times, wondering if it was just over heated and it won't even warm up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasy Belgium type waffles I bought this because my old waffle iron was so slow I figured I needed 2. The price was right so I just went for it. I've used it once and decided I like it much better than my old one. It doesn't have a temperature control knob, it seemed to make no difference. It makes deeper waffles that take more batter, so it seemed to go faster. I did end up thinning my batter a bit by adding a little more liquid. The instruction booklet suggested you could spread out the batter to the edges. Then the top didn't cook as much as the bottom because there wasn't enough batter to touch the top grill. Next one, I put about a cup of batter smack in the center and it cooked GREAT!! Can you believe my husband and I both thought we ate less waffles because the initial one was more filling. PERFECT!
