I had high hopes for this vac but as others have stated the battery life is ridiculous. You have to let it charge for like 12 hours in order to use it for a few minutes. It won't even last long enough for me to vacuum my stairs. It powers out about 2/3 down the stairs. As for picking up, it does a fair job on SOME things... other things it just skips over or blows around. I got it for cleaning the furniture of pet hair and cleaning pet hair and pieces of litter off my stairs. It got about 50% of the debris. I am definitely going to have to buy another type/brand as this is just not doing it for me.

The Shark Pet Power - Vac is everything it claims to be. I was most satisfied with how easy it is to dispose the hair and crumbs (crumbs that were much larger that I expected it would have the oomph to accomplish). The filter is just rinsed out, set out to dry, and that's it. The filters last 3mos according to manufacturer. The upholstery attachment is the best I've seen on a handheld yet when it comes to cat hair on area rugs, couches, etc. The crevice attachment is handy too. The charge lasts for several smaller jobs around the house.

I bought this hand vac specifically to clean up around the cat's litter pan and the little pet hair tumbleweeds that float around the house from time to time. I am very disappointed in the very minimal filter space, causing you to have to empty it very often. And considering this is specifically designed for pet mess clean-ups, it seems that it would have better suction. The battery life is quite short as well, so mine stays on the charger now. I really wish I would have bought a different brand.

I bought this 2 years ago and loved it. It does a great job cleaning up any mess and the kids love cleaning up after themselves with it too. I especially loved the rotating brush attachment. The only problem with it was the battery. It died after a year of use. It just stopped holding a charge. I just threw it out because it would no longer take a charge, but considering I used it heavily for a year, I think I got my moneys worth.
