Rated 3 out of 5Â by Mom2Boys Where is a work bench for toddlers?!?!
Overall, we were pleased with the realistic nature of the bench & wooden pieces and the overall quality of the items. Although the "wooden" pieces have many blueprints of projects for toddlers to make, the bench itself is quite small in height for our 3 & almost 5 year-old sons. The bench doesn't have ample storage for all of the "wooden" pieces which I dislike. I would like to see a bigger bench for toddler-aged children. There isn't one out there-this is the closest we found. Finally, the drill that came with the set didn't work when we opened it Christmas day, so our sons had to wait for a replacement drill to play with their present.

The Real Projects Workshop is cute. My 3 year old likes to play with it, but it is not his favorite toy. It was played with when he first got it, but now sits collecting dust. I think the play kitchen is a better buy and he enjoys that much more.

This was a last minute Easter gift for my youngest child (18m). Shipment was so fast, we were shocked that it arrived in time for the holiday. Workshop was quick to assemble, the kids were playing with it almost immediately. I love the fact that it is a space saver, and has a built-in drawer and open shelf for the storage of its own pieces. Although its recommended for 3+, our youngest has no problem interlocking the wood pieces and using the tools. The older kids are able to build the intricate shapes using the blueprints, and they have a lot of fun making them. Glad we decided on this last minute gift. Thank you Step2 for your outstanding customer service!

My 3 year old is really into putting things together so this tool bench was perfect for him. Not only does it look realistic and have a fun power drill and other tools to use, it also comes with the foam building pieces that are great for helping him learn to build projects on his own. Not only does he follow the blueprints but he also uses his imagination to build his own ideas. I love that it easy to use and he doesn't need a lot of help to put the pieces together. It is also a helpful way to incorporate shape recognition and counting when he's playing so not only is he using his imagination but he's learning as well.
