The relatively low cost of this knife compared to the top-of-the-line Henckels knives makes it a good value for budget-minded home cooks, but the grantons are only on one side of the blade (conveniently the side that you see when looking at it in the package), making it practically useless as a santoku knife.
I returned this knife along with the other Synergy knives I bought and exchanged them for the Premio series. For only a few dollars more per knife you get a much better product, and it's still part of the JA Henckels International series of knives so the high-end quality is still there.

the knife is definately pretty and nice to handle and still cuts well. However after the first wash (hand) another metal product touched the knife and it ended up with a rust mark. Definately not recommended
