Rated 5 out of 5Â by anotherbaker I have used this bake set for years and years!
I have not used all the flour on some batches and it has been difficult to work with, tho at other times, putting in all the flour has made the dough difficult. To keep dough flexible, place the remaining dough in a pan placed in a pan of warm water, tho not over flame.
Immediately on removing from the oven, use the cutters to recut the pieces right away to get clear lines. After removing the excess dough, individual pieces MUST be loosened immediately or they will stick to the cookie sheet. (Can be put back in oven to warm again.)
Decorate flat before construction. Hinge roof pieces w/ paper from paper bag. Attach paper to roof pieces with frosting.

I bought this cute set, looking forward to making gingerbread house sets for my granddaughters to each decorate their own house. The cookie cutters are flexible and flimsy. The handles fell off a couple of them on the first use. They don't hold their actual intended shape when cutting the dough. The gingerbread dough recipe is an ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE unusable oily mixture!! Don't waste your money on this piece of junk! A huge disappointment, to say the least. I bought it because another reviewer said it was great and even gave tips regarding the dough (saying she had used it "for years"). That would be impossible; she must have been talking about another set. I never submit reviews but wanted to make sure someone else is not fooled into buying this set.

I have never purchased a product like this before so I don't have anything to compare it to. But the forms seemed to me to be very cheap and too flexible.
