Rated 5 out of 5Â by 95682 Love this 6 qt. pan -- and the 4 qt too
I have a 6 qt. and a 4qt. Unison Sear Saute Pan -- and I also have two Unison Slide Pans. The 4 qt. is an average size, but the 6 qt. is great for browning and cooking large family size meals. The Sear Saute Pans have a nice sear finish that browns foods evenly.
Easy to clean, use silicone coated spoons or silicone tipped tongs to stir items. Highly recommend.
How large are the Unison saute pan sizes?
3 quart Saute pan is 10.5" x 2.5"
4 quart saute is 11.25" x 2.75"
6 quart saute pan is 12.5" x 5.5"
See the image below that show the 6 qt. and the 4 qt with a dollar bill to show size proportion. The 6qt. saute pan is used daily at my house because we like the generous 12.5" cooking surface.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Hoodyhouston Ample room for large meals! Freezer is our Friend
I've had this pan over a year now and use it frequently. Â Sears meat beautifully, oven save too, and practically no clean up after. Â I believe the freezer is a cooks best friend, so I use this pan to prepare large quantities of food and freeze half...like stroganoff, chicken and dumplings, Â gumbo with a gorgeous dark rue, chili, spaghetti with meat balls, BBQ chicken wings, smothered chicken, schnitzel, chicken fried rib eyes with gravy and on and on.....this pan should win the best cookware of the century. Â It cooks EVEN BETTER than cast iron skillets, weighs less and is so stinking easy to clean!. Â If I could have only one pan, I would chose this one. I would fight for it! Â Unison Nonstick Sear is amazing! Â You will be so happy! Â PROMISE!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by KathyM I LOVE THIS! Cannot say enough good things.
I originally had a Commercial Nonstick 5qt sauté pan which I passionately loved, but the nonstick gave out. Because of the warranty, I returned it to Calphalon for replacement and they sent me this as the replacement. If being in more love is possible, then that's how I feel about this pan. It makes me believe I really do know how to cook. My original was straight sided but the way the sides are curved on this one makes it easier to scoop things up in a spoon. This new one is also lighter and the lid is see through, both pluses

i absolutely love this pan. i use it all the time. not only when i have to saute onions or vegetables, but whenever i make a stew or curry. i love that the bottom is as wide as the sides so i use it when frying fish or grilling lamb chops. i love it so much that despite having a complete set of calaphalon pots and pans i bought myself a second one of these pans and also gave each  of my daughters one as a gift. in my opinion besides this pan one probably only needs a stock pot and a small pan and you have all the basics.
