I have been using Calphalon products for over 10 years. In the last several years, we have sent back two due to some flaking of the surface. The first was a standard 8 in skillet and we received a new one no questions asked. The second was 10 in skillet that was part of their top line, but discontinued, Professional series. I wondered what I would get. I got a top of the line Unison Nonstick pan, again, no questions asked. I am a customer for life. I don't mind paying the price when it really is a no hassle lifetime warranty.

Oh Calphalon, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
1. Your sleek handle and your blackish tint with a light feel for the average chef.
2. Your non-stick ways with my eggs, vegetables and uncooked meat. Oil is welcome but not your preference
3. Your easy to cook with...
4. Your easy to clean...
5. If if weren't for my husband, I would cook with you indefinitely, unfortunately he shares my view and wants you more than me.
6. My morning eggs, my afternoon bok choy and my evening pork chops all come out cooked wonderfully.
Thank you for sharing yourself with me. Thank you to your makers for giving you to me, a 10" Omelette Pan. Thank you, Thank You!!!

I use my pan daily. The finish of this pan is gunmetal vs. the black that are in many other pans, which may have something to do with durability of the finish and what actually makes up the nonstick surface. While you are best to use a little olive oil or butter to grease the pan, it is not entire required; just depends on what you are cooking and if you need the item (such as eggs) to easily slideout of your pan.
The handle stays cool to the touch and clean up is a piece of cake. I have yet to find anything to stick on this when it comes to cleaning. I have not used it the oven; although it indicates it is oven-proof.

This is terrific pan. I have always stayed away from non-stick pans because I remember the Teflon ones that my mother had in the 70's. Not good. I received a set of the regular Calphalon pans for my wedding 13 years ago and I really like them but they are a bit difficult to clean. This Unison pan is a breeze to clean and the finish is really nice not all like the Teflon ones I remember. It's a nice size too. I don't make many omelettes but I've been using to make other stuff like fried eggs and grilled sandwiches. Actually, I think I've used it every day since receiving it. It's a nice weight too; substantial.
