Bought this seat today as we had one that was not a very good one and paid enough for it. The Olympus has top rating with IIHS (Canada) and its very comfy and easy to install. The only flaws are that the belt guards that are to be worn forward facing need to be worn rear facing as it cut into my 19 month old daughters neck. (Bought and installed by professionals) and also when she napped she had severe floppy head (rear facing). You would think that there would be some kind of support for that. In her previous one it had padding and headrest and she looked very uncomfortable like this. If there could be a fix for this it would be amazing. Please!

We bought this for air travel and while it did fit in the seat, it was like hauling a hay bale through the airport. It is very heavy, almost 50lbs I believe. We now use it day-to-day and it's just ok. The fabric is not as plush as the other car seats that we own (Britax, maxi cosi) and it is not very well padded. We bought the seat protector but after the first couple uses it bunched up and has to be straightened before each use. It is crumpled up and wrinkled and will not flatten out adding to the discomfort. The design could use some tweaking. I would go back to Britax for the $.

This seat is worth the money and will last your child awhile! My 6 yr old while on the smaller size at 40" tall is still able to use the 5pt harness! Her and my 3 yr old can buckle themselves in and out and they love how comfy the seat is. This is a heavy seat but it is very easy to install and it will fit 3 across in very tight spots. The back bench seat in my van is 47" and I was easily able to fit three across even using seat belts. I love this seat so much that I am buying another one for our 4th child.

We have a Radian RXT in our other vehicle and were looking for a similar design but perhaps slightly narrower style to fit in the back of a Jetta (with enough room to still tote two other seatbelt wearing kids in the back. The Olympia fit the bill perfectly. The Diono car seats we own are not easy to easy with because they are what we affectionately call "beasts" which only means theyre heavy. They fold up nicely and we own the travel luggage for them as well. Though we dont like that theyre heavy (only matters when we travel) we wouldnt change the design at all-it feels like a sturdy piece of safety gear that gives us piece of mind when our child is bucked in. For that reason we'll keep toting the "beast" everywhere we travel.
