Wow! How awesome this unit is. There are 9 trays on it, so it makes it easier to do more at one time than some of your smaller ones. The wattage is higher, so less time in drying, and if I decide to move to another place that has 250 volts, then it is good there too. This unit is so good, and I want to share, buy one. It does an awesome job and you won't want to be without one. The warranty is great! 10 years. Not many small appliances offer that. So you are getting a dehydrator that will last for many years. I want to encourage you to buy one if you did not already. Happy dehydrating.

I purchased my Excalibur dehydrator approx. 3 years ago. The only thing I process in it is chicken jerky for my dogs. The temperature settings and timer make it easy to use. The trays and screens I set the jerky on are easy to clean afterwards. I can make enough jerky in one batch to give treats to 5 dogs for several weeks to a month. My dogs love the treats and it dehydrates them well enough for me to store them on a counter top. With no oils or water, to speak of in the meat, they stay fresh in a container. I have done beef jerky in it also which turned out very well.

I have not bought this yet but have borrowed one from my neighbor. I love it. It is quick and easy to use and I can fit a lot into it... I now wish I had taken a picture as I dried comfrey leaves, parsley, tomatoes and so much more when I had it. I would have kept it longer but she needed it back to dry her mushrooms that she had grown! I have been shopping to see what else is out on the market and I have not found anything
that is even comparable to this one. I really like that there is a glass door on it now. The only thing that I wish they had was an adjustable fan speed as it does blow some of the herbs around a bit. Fantastic product.

I bought a 9 Tray Excaliber several years ago after getting tired of having to rotate trays every few hours. The first thing I did was make several pounds of Jerky. All I did after marinating and seasoning the meat with only Soy Sauce Natural Liquid Smoke and Freshly Ground Pepper, was place it on the trays and set the temperature and Timer. When the Dehydrator was done I checked the Jerky and all the meat was dried to perfection. Anyone who had the opportunity to sample the Jerky just raved about it. It was All Natural and had No Added Sugar.
