Rated 4 out of 5Â by Baloo789 Great airflow design
Great at its function for sure, and I absolutely love the steel parts, but it's got some weird design flaws that make no sense. The door - why couldn't they make the door just hinge and be able to open all the way up and fold on top the the unit is beyond me. Cost may be, but its already and expensive unit, I'd pay for a hinged door. The other weirdness is they make it very unclear, both in their literalture that comes with the unit and online, about the non-stick sheets - are you supposed to use them for everything for only for poured items. Othern than that it's a great machine.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by nick25 Very useful and easy to operate
I bought this unit almost two months ago, and it has been a good investment so far. I have made banana chips, kale chips, dried strawberries, dried apple slices, dried zucchini and dried squash so far. I've used it the most for kale chips, which come out nice and crunchy. I actually got used to how much drying space there is, and frequently fill it up (for kale, I can usually eat even a full load in less than a day). It's a little pricey but the stainless steel trays are fairly easy to clean, and the unit looks very durable.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by markb Nice Upgrade from a bare bones hydrator
Shipped FAST. Bought for my wife as she'd been hydrating more and more with a cheap'o unit. Heat and time controls are a fun option to fine tune the hydration. Only odd thing is the shelves are just slightly different widths, so they fit great one way, and tight the other. Not a huge thing, just Odd they are not perfectly square.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Redrobin excellent upgrade
I recently replace a stackable plastic dehydrator with this model and am so happy with the upgrade. I not only have continued to dehydrate our excess produce but am exploring raw food recipes of crackers, corn chips, flat breads, wraps, etc. Everything dries evenly. I would definitely recommend this model!
