Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Exaxtly What I Was Looking For Purchased several of these online for a few smaller windows throughout the house. At first glance I thought these would work great in conjunction with Eclipse curtain's that I purchased from Kohl's. That was not the smartest decision in hindsight. These are unlike traditional "screw into the wall" rods in that that are tension rod based like some show curtain rods - thus no tools needed for install. After opening the first pack I encountered the first problem - the rodd were already "tightened" so much I had to get a couple of wrench's to loosen the twisting connection. The second problem #and why I can't use several of them without modification# is the sizing. I have always measured from the outside of the window frame for rod or curtain consideration and with these they inner frame is what you need to measure. My windows are all 26" inside and will not work with these. I will need to either return or use a metal saw to cut both pieces of rod to work with my windows. The second problem is that these are low, so when attached I have a tremendous amount of light coming from the top of the rods #since they can not adjust to higher window placement because they go in the window frame vs. outside the frame allowing#. Thus in my opinion they are as "room darkening" as I would have thought.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from awesome product for the right window These work great if you have windows with no curve in the surrounding molding. My windows were curved on the edges so wouldn't grip.
