I usually wear an 8 1/2 or a 9, I ordered a 9. Room enough for medium thick socks. Another review said that the soles were hard, that's true but it didn't really bother me. Good traction, I didn't check out the water resistance (they aren't supposed to be) and the only problem I had was that it was rubbing on the back of my ankle -- that is due to the fact that I don't usually wear mid-rise or high tops. I just put a bandaid on the sore spot as soon as I noticed it and had no other problems at all. Seems to be a great value for the price.

I got these just because I loved the look I wont even lie, The first time hiking one shoe was pinching my toe even though I had broken them in before hiking. The second time hiking everything was okay. They aren't the most comfortable shoes, they are average on comfort. I love the look and everything else is okay so far. They are taking a beating hiking the desert and mountains of Nevada and holding up to that.

I highly suggest these hiking boots. They're comfortable and affordable. They have great support and very good traction. I lived in Arizona and Colorado and hiked a ton in both places with these shoes and they never failed me.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by CMM2 Very comfortable!
I've only been on one short hike (about 2 miles) with these boots, but so far they are very comfortable! I took the chance of ordering these online, but they fit and do not make my feet hurt like an older pair I had.
