The buttons on the machine are very hard to push. I am 75 and not as agile as I once was. It was very difficult to push the buttons to make the machine work. Also, I am left handed and the catch for the bowl is difficult for a left handed user unlike my former Kitchen Aid where the catch was in the front of the machine. I do like the weight of the new machine. So much lighter than my former Kitchen Aid food processor that still works but the lid is broken after so much use. Kitchen Aid no longer makes a lid for this model. So sad.

I had a food processor since they came out, first one, a different brand, lasted 20 years. Then a Kitchenaid that lasted almost 20 years. So when the shaft on that one broke, I bought this one. What a change. First off, this one weighs nothing. Looks a little on the cheapy side. If you use the feed tube you can't have anything even a millimeter over the "fill line" or it won't run. And the fill line is not far up so you have to chop stuff up short. No putting in one thing and pushing it in with the next piece like in the old one. Forget shredding mozzarella for pizza, lasagna or eggplant. Even cold out of the fridge is squishes and balls up between the blade and the lid. I used it for that a lot. Frustrating! Buttons hard to push, hard to figure out where to push as there is a sweet spot that isn't under the entire button. Difficult if you have arthritis in hands. Lots of weird little nooks to catch food and make it hard to wash out. Had a dickens of a time trying to get the lid to close one time, the gasket kept making it pop up and if it isn't down tight it doesn't run. And when it does go together right then it can be hard to get it apart. I make things like hummus where I would pulse a few times, open the lid, scrape down the sides, put back lid, pulse a few more times, etc. This becomes a huge struggle with the lid now. What a disappointment.

I was on the hunt to add a food processor to my kitchen collection. My requirements were that it needed to perform a multitude of tasks, offer easy adjustments, and quick cleanup. This KitchenAid product fit the bill. The features that sold me were the ExactSlice system and the dough blade for kneading bread dough. Very few other machines offered this combination beyond basic processing functions. The machine is well-built and solid - no rattles or loose fittings. The motor is also super quiet. Much quieter than I expected! Looking forward to many years of use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've had several kitchenaid appliances and utensils that I love, including my stand mixer, icecream maker and meat grinder, but this one was a real waste of money. Every time I try to use it I get SO frustrated, it almos never works, I click, un click, disassemble and re-assemble to no avail, I've chcked the cord, switched aong the blades included, and I've been able to actually use it a handful of times, and since I do not live in the US, I cannot exchange it. So sad, I don't kow if it's too sensitive or what, because out of the blue it will work. I don't know what to do with it! and it is a shame, because it's everything else works beautifully
