Rated 3 out of 5 by Lint galore with Black towel It would have been a great towel- but not the black! It is thick, large, and absorbent. However, the lint and shedding even after 3 washings is not tolerable. It leaves black lint on the skin, the floor, and handfuls in the drier after every wash. I bought the same towel in red and it does not have the same problem at all. So, if you need a black towel, try another brand. Otherwise, go for this wonderfull towel in one of the other colors! 10/14/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great towels These towels are great and super soft. I love them.! The only bad thing is they do "shed" in the dryer. Make sure you wash them with by themselves or with other towels the first few washes, lots of lint in dryer, it doesn't seem to effect the quality or softness of the towels. The red ones shed on everything in the wash do not wash with Whites! I've had a set for a year now and they are still fabulous so I bought 6 more! various colors. 09/12/2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Shedding I washed, dried, and used a lint remover seven times before two bath towels were ready to use. At the end, I had six full cups of lint recovered, and this didn't count the amount that went through the washer plumbing. Additionally, the lint basket over-filled my laundry tub dozens of times. I also had to use a plunger on the drain twice . I used a lot of bad words during this experience. Does anyone else wonder why the manufacturers don't pre-wash the material first (as much as is necessary) before turning it into the actual towels and foisting the extreme shedding problems onto the customers? 08/19/2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sheds badly I bought a total 6 of these towels on two different days and washed them in cold water using Gain liquid detergent and when the washer finished, the towels had seemed to have shed so much of their fibers you could have made another towel from it. After drying them, the dryer was also full of the threads and knots of fibers. I washed them several more times only to get the same effect. I took them outside and shook them. OMG, the fibers kept coming off. I used one of them to dry off with and the shower was full of the threads and fibers. I am totally dissatisfied and will go purchase towels elsewhere. 05/13/2016
