Bought this to replace my old toaster oven that stopped toasting. This unit works fine ... BUT ... the exterior, including the door handle, does get very hot -- much hotter than I was accustomed to with my old one. I also find that the 2 options for rack/pan height don't really work well for me. Might be OK if I could just put the included pan on the rack at its lowest setting, but the pan is too big to sit on the rack; you have to slide it into grooves in the oven walls. On the positive side, in order to turn the oven on, you basically have to set a timer -- this is a good thing because it avoids accidentally leaving the oven on for a long time. Overall, it works fine for the price. I didn't want to spend a lot for an appliance that I don't use a whole lot.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by Sunflowermaggie Low power but works well
This microwave is small enough that it does not take up too much space on your counter top. The features are really nice. You can press the numbers 1 through 6 and it starts for that many minutes. You can press the start button to add an extra 30 seconds to the cooking time.
I found that it is a lot lower power than any of my other microwaves. I have to add a minute or two each time I use it.
It has a push button to open the door. You can set the time if you want, I don't do that, but that is an option for those who want it.
It's black in color and matches all of my other kitchen appliances.

I don't have a lot of space on my countertop so I thought this microwave would be good. Its perfect! Being 700 watts it takes a bit longer to cook some stuff but an extra minute or two doesn't phase me.
My children are long gone and I don't use a microwave for big meals or cook large items any longer and I am very happy with the Toastmaster Microwave. Its seems to be a well made product and easy to clean. It does retain more steam that my other one, but its no problem to wipe up the water and I leave it open for awhile and let it evaporate. For the price I paid and size and quality, I can put up with a minor hassle.
