I agree with the reviewer who said she was terribly disappointed. I agree! I received my Keurig coffee maker as a gift, and when I saw the individual My K-cup insert in the store I thought "Great! Now I can still drink my favorite coffee." (which isn't available in K-cup form) What a mess it makes!! The water seems to come over the top of the insert pouring steaming hot water onto the drip plate, onto the counter, and also into the cup along with very weak coffee.I have tried using it 4 different times, using more coffee, less coffee, etc. and each time with the same result. This insert seems very poorly designed. Don't spend your money.

Read the negative comments and concerned about spending the $$. Bought one anyway. READ the instructions. Filled coffee to second line, set Keurig on 10oz and it was a little strong for me. Tried filling to first line per instructions for second cup and was a little weak for me. Third try with coffee between lines and set for 10oz was my winner. Regarding the mess: it's no different than emptying and cleaning your typical filter. If this is a problem then stick with the k-cup cartridges. Regarding overflow: if you fill any filter with coffee above the recommended fill line then grounds will overflow when the water passes thru it "duh!".

The filter basket was a plus in getting me to buy the brewer, but it leaked like crazy. Alright Keurig here is the solution. First I must give my love of fine beers credit for solving the problem. I simply put a rubber flat o-ring from the beer supply line, of my tap system, on top of the filter cup lid, it fit perfect. Problem solved! A home brewing supply store will have the o-rings or better yet patronize your local craft brew pub the brewer will gladly supply you with a o-ring for your continued support. Great Coffee, Craft Brews and Fine Cigars life is great!4 stars for the initial hassle if Keurig supplies the o-ring, I give it a 5.

This thing leaked like a seive when I first used it. Water poured out of the head unit from everywhere. Being a lifelong tinkerer, I placed a small rubber plumbing washer, about 1/16" thick, and matching the outside and inside diameter of the top recess and hole on top of the My Cup and ran a cup through it. It didn't leak a drop. I then glued it in place with epoxy. Works fine every time now and I can use any coffee I like far cheaper than buying the commercial cups! FAR TOO MANY folks having leaking problems. Why this thing doesn't have a soft washer from the factory is a complete mystery to me. Hope this helps anyone that has the leaking problem!
