I love the convenience of the Keurig, but do not like the waste produced by the non-reusable k-cups. They really should make the non-reusable k-cups compost-able. I also do not like that most of these K-cups do not produce a strong enough cup of joe. In any case, this re-usable k-cup answers all my concerns about the Keurig. It helps to significantly reduce waste, plus helps make a stronger cup of coffee. A trick I learned by trial and error is to fill the k-cup 4/5th of the way with fairly coarse coffee grounds. Then dip the k-cup in a bit of hot water to help the coffee grounds expand before using it, which makes a strong cup of coffee.

I realize the Keurig has coffee you can purchase for it already to pop in to the place it goes, but this was purchased just in case we ran out of them or wanted to use coffee we already had.

I use refillable K-Cups to prevent excess waste. Daily we use approximately 6 refillable K-Cups. We ordered these K-Cups not realizing we don't have the correct Keurig. We did get it to work in our Keurig, but compared to other refillable K-Cup types that we already have, these are expensive, cumbersome, not easy to clean and have more parts than necessary. Our others are simply the cup plus attached lid. We did receive outstanding customer service - patient, kind, professional and willing to rectify my problem. Because of the Keurig reps, I will shop here again...but the designers need to simplify their designs & keep the consumer in mind.

Great idea but Keurig is going to have to redesign (enlarge) the opening that holds the filter basket (same opening that holds the coffee pods) before this filter basket will ever work well. It states you can fill your coffee grounds up to a certain point but you end up with alot of grounds in your coffee. I tried putting my coffee ground levels lower and lower and lower....still grounds in my coffee. At that point, the coffee was so weak I would never use this basket anyway. They need a larger filter basket to hold the grounds and that won't happen until they design the pod opening bigger!!! Waste of money...they had to have known this issue!
