Ok, I was new to raw denim but I can say is do your research before you take these jeans home. I wear mine for a few days then start putting them on right as I get out of the shower before drying off and use them as my leg towel. When you get them really sweaty, jump in the shower with them on and rinse them off. Make sure the water is as hot as you can take it. Then throw them in the dryer for about 15min. Put them back on still slightly damp. They will dry quickly on you. DO NOT WASH TESE JEANS UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. You will love them. Do a Google search to see what other people have done. Good Luck!!

My husband wanted a grey pair of jeans so first we ordered the regular 50t's that he usually buys but the grey ones came with permanent creases across the front which he didn't like; so we ordered these shrink-to-fit 501's in grey. What a disaster! We ordered them larger like they said - when he tried them on before washing they were too long and too big in the waist and were supposed to shrink to the right size. Well, not only did they shrink too much so that he couldn't even get them on - too tight and too short - they came out so permanently wrinkled it was ridiculous! A disaster . . . we returned them!

Have worn 501s for decades and these are a disappointment, as they have been changed for the cheaper. The fabric is 1/2 the weight of the originals. Levis have gone from the best to sadly average. I currently have 30+ pairs and these do not compare favorably. At the current fabric weight, they will not last. Be prepared, as all shrink-to-fit Levis take several washings to work out the extreme wrinkling. Better to wash them 5-6 times before wearing.

Finding a size 29x34 for my teen son is not easy to do. No one carries that size in a store. This pair of Levis surpassed my expectation. They are definitely rigid (they hold their shape well). They look good on skinny kids, I have no idea about normal or husky sized kids but it seems these would look good on them too, just from the rigid material and holding their shape. I give them 2-thumbs up.
