First impression: very big, which is good for traveling. The material seems a bit too lightweight but I will see after using it. The airlines can be pretty brutal on luggage.

my husband flies every week. yes 48 weeks a year. he goes thru luggage fast. the first time he used this the airline put black marks on it. not the luggage fault but rather the airlines. we have not found a piece of luggage this size that can withstand the airlines yet. I will say the wheels and base of this one seem to be better than we have seen is a long time. it is one piece not small individual pieces that attach to the wheels. this makes for a more sturdy and less likely to be broken experience. the turning radius and the smoothness of the wheels when rolling it and getting thru an airport are very nice. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a large luggage piece for traveling. it is huge, has great spots for extras like brushes or shoes. very useful.

I used this bag on my 10 day trip to Italy. The wheels worked very well and the bag glided even over rough streets. My only complaint was that the color did not hide dirt very well. Other than that I would highly recommend this bag. I had it stuffed and it still rolled perfectly. The zippers worked well also.

This review has 4 stars because I've had the suitcase only a short time. So I can't speak to its longevity. It's a nice big suitcase that's light-weight and very easy to roll around (I'm a small woman). My husband also has one, and is so happy with the extra handles on the side and bottom making it very easy for him to lift when full. (Full disclosure, I haven't lifted it when full.)
If you'd rather have one big suitcase than a luggage set, this one is it. I was very pleased with how much I could fit in the case. Its deep instead of being overly wide, so it is still easy to maneuver around.
When considering red, remember that when flying it'll likely come back with some stains due to baggage handling. I wish I had thought of that. If that's a problem for you, go with black, which is what my husband did. None of the stains show on his black suitcase.
