I had the same thing happen to the steel gray towels as another reviewer. After the first wash, they came out discolored as if they were bleached. I returned the defected towels and exchanged them for the same color. Unfortunately, the same problem happened and I return the gray along with the white towels of this brand. None of the other colors would work in my bathroom and didnt want all white towels. I was really bummed since the towels are fluffy and soft.

After reading a few of these reviews, I thought I'd reiterate what some other reviewers said regarding the color not being steadfast. I ordered these towels in Spa Blue, and after the first washing, they looked like they had been splattered with bleach. Such a shame because, otherwise, they are great - nice style, soft, fluffy and absorbent. Perhaps this problem is limited to just some of the colors. I've also purchased these towels in Red and gave them as graduation gift. I never heard any complaints, but doubt that I would have (they are used by a college-aged boy who probably wouldn't care either way). If you purchase, just be aware that this could be a problem.

I am having the same problems as others. I have so many Vera Wang towels because when I first purchased them, all was well. Loved the colors, thickness and what appeared to be durability. As time has gone by something has happened and as I have purchased more the quality has gone down. On the orange color towels, white spots appeared on the bath and hand towels. At first I thought it must be a product I was using, but after elimination I knew it had to be the dye used on the towels. Those towels had to be thrown out. I did purchase more and some of those towels were damaged and I still need to return them. I have decided that as my current VW towels get old and worn, I will replace them with another brand and likely not a Kohls brand. I have done a lot of research on towels and the fabrics that last are not sold at Kohls. I would rather pay a little more but get better quality.

Got these towels when they were on sale. Was cautious as there were some bad reviews and these are expensive towels. First, yes there is a lot of fuzz when you wash them or they would have got a excellent rating, but even with the fuzz they are a very good towel. Colors held up in the wash, for those who don't know, do not use a softener with towels (any of them) for some reason it dries them out. These towels are very good at soaking up the water and then drying quickly.
