Don't wipe your mouth after using whitening toothpaste, or with a trace of benzyl peroxide cream on your fingers: Presto!-- color gone!

I purchased two dark brown and two of the green. They are good for utilitarian purposes. They absorb water after one washes his hands. They really do their job, but if you are looking for a plush, expensive looking towel, these may not be right for you. I would say these would be great day-to-day towels but not for an impressive guest bathroom or what you may put in your bathroom if you are having a party. However, they do look a little better if you layer two or more.
The colors are true to the advertisement. I have not washed ours, so I am not sure if they will fade (especially the dark brown).

While I made the mistake of purchasing several of The Big One Hand Towels after purchasing just one, due to the low cost, I fully regret my purchase of these towels. They are extremely cheaply made and they snag very easily! They are rags now and from there they will go into the trash can! For those who claim they "bleach" if you wipe toothpaste or benzoyl peroxide on them, um, all I have to say to you is, that is your own fault!! It is NOT a towel flaw that your towel bleached, it's common knowledge that both benzoyl peroxide and toothpaste are known for bleaching!! If you are concerned about bleaching, the obvious solution is to purchase WHITE towels!
