I bought these cause of the price and the reviews. But it is absolutely not what I expected. They are nice and at 1st the knives are sharp but once you used them more and more knives need sharpening.I only used them for a month. I got different brand of knives as a wedding gift 10years ago lasted a couple of months and been sharpening ever since. So I am back where I was sharpening knives just that they are new. The only one that seem to be consistent is the scissors. If you don't cook often these will be okay but if you do I don't recommend them.

When it comes to cutlery, you get what you pay for. If you enjoy cooking, save your money and buy a better quality set. These are inexpensive knives but are perfect for our RV which is why I bought them. They would never hold up to everyday use. For the people who criticised because they started to rust or didn't hold up after dishwashing- it says on every side of the box- do not dishwash! I wish the steak knives were serrated.

This KitchenAid Cook's Series 16-pc. Cutlery Set is a beautiful color red that also matches the color red of the kitchen aid mixer. It has the great features of having all the knives with scissors in one wooden block that its handy when one is cooking meals. Also the knives have a durable plastic at the bottom of the knife that I thought it would be of a wooden fabric. Buts its better that its a durable plastic than wooden so it won't get stained and its easy to clean. Its better having this item on one's kitchen counter that its easier when one is cooking meals that has the knives to cut meat and knife sharper is there to sharpen knives and the scissors to cut open packaged meat. This Kitchen Aid Cook's Series 16-pc. Cutlery Set looks beautiful on the kitchen counter too.
