Rated 2 out of 5 by Not for Toddlers I age range on the game listed 3+. I am trying to work with my daughter on recognizing her numbers and counting and thought this might me good for her. She is almost 4 and is currently in pre-school. This game is to teach children about equations (addition & subtraction), which I didn't realize from the description. I don't know too many 3 year olds who can add and subtract. I really think the age on this came should be 5+ so it more accurately reflects who it is intended for. 12/26/2011

Rated 3 out of 5 by somebody was over thinking this most people understand the concept od go fish as making pairs. However, the leapfrog people had to take it a step beyond and make you look for trios or recognize the color of the letter and ask for that color? Seriously? You're asking kids that (apparently) can barely read to be able to hold multiple pairsof letters in the (patient) hope that they can get/find/remember to get the third card or ignore theletters all together and just look for colors? We ended up taking a set of letters out and not using them which kinda defeats the purpose. Then, the math game is a bit advanced for this same age set, requiring them to visualize addition and/or subtraction problems in their head using cards in their hand or those that are showing on the board. Then, for each successful turn, you're supposed to move the marker, but if someone runs out of cards first, that's how the game ends too, so you get everyone concentrating on moving the marker, but, oh, someone just ran out of cards, so you feel a bit of a let down that you didn't see the marker to the other side. All in all, it's just too overthought for this age set. 01/02/2013
