Rated 4 out of 5 by DC65 Animal Complete This is my second Dyson which I purchased after having a second hand one for the past several years. Never in my wildest dreams would I have spend this kind of money on a vacuum cleaner, but I found that the used one worked so well beyond my expectations that would never have a different brand again. This DC 65 did not disappoint me either. Its cleaning power is second to none. I have only two small disappointments; one is that it does not store my most often used tools conveniently, and the other is that when using the want I really have to hold the main unit or it will tip over if i get any distance from. Overall though, I highly recommend! 01/13/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by dyson animal complete I love my new dyson! The suction power is great for pet hair and dust. I use my soft bristle tools to dust with, clean heating vents, fan covers. Unbelievable how much dust and dirt my dyson picks up. Easy to empty bin, plus you don't have the smell of dust in the air when you sweep, the filters keep the dust from filtering back out in the air. The only downfall I see is the hose you put attachments on. The hose is very stiff when you turn on sweeper, I have to wrestle with it to get sweeper in just the right spot so I can pull the hose longer to use it, but its well worth it when I see all the pet hair and dirt being picked up! 01/11/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing This has been a life saver. Half of our house is hardwood and the other half is carper. With 2 cats and 3 dogs, this unit has seen its fair share of animal hair and the transition between carpet and hardwood has been flawless. My only complaint is that it works TOO GOOD, We are constantly emptying the canister from the all of the deep down dirt and hair that is left in the carpet from the old vacuums. I would highly encourage ANYONE to get the whole package as we have started cleaning pieces of our house that rarely got cleaned, like the fans in the house, banisters, window sills, and even the crown molding above cupboards. 01/12/2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent but not as good as my original dc40 I was very disappointed with the design of this vacuum. It easily disengages from a standing locked position, even when I'm just rolling it from one room to another before I start vacuuming. Once I've finished vacuuming, it's difficult to determine if the lock is engaged when I return it to the upright position. I have concrete floors and I can't tell you how many times the vacuum falls backwards, hitting the hard floor. It's does a nice job on the carpets but not great job. I miss my old dc40. It was sturdy and did an excellent job on all floor types. It eventually lost power after 12 years so I got the new Dc65 01/16/2015
