I absolutely love this steam mop. It definitely gets the job done and so convenient. Easy to store and not big and bulky. Heats up quick and the cord is a good length. So easy to use I even got my 13 year old to clean!

Due to lots of cooking, my floors became sticky and hard to clean. No mopping or scrubbing worked. I decided to buy a steam cleaner, mop.
This is my first Bissell, normally I use a Shark. I must say the Bissell cleans much better and a lot faster. The hard to do spots, I set the steamer on the grease splatter spots and it took them right up.
You get a cleaning and a scrubbing pad with the purchase.. I used the scrubbing pad and like it a lot. It had just enough rough areas on it, you didn't have to keep going over the same spot to get it clean.
If there is a negative about the Bissell vs the Shark, the water container isn't as larger as I would like. I had to fill the container a few more times than I did with the Shark, but again, the Bissell works so much better, its an even trade off.

When I first bought the steam mop select I thought it did a great job. Although the mopes a year old it has been used very little( maybe a dozen times) it no longer will produce any steam and is useless to me. This will be the third steam mop I've bought from Bissell. Will not be buying a fourth. Will go back to the other leading brand of spray and mop for hard wood floors. On the bright side I have purchased the carpet pet stain steam cleaner and love it. Easy to use and very portable to do the stairs. So I would recommend that product just stay away from the hard wood floor steamers
Rated 1 out of 5Â by rodalie Good on tile, not on hardwood
I got this at Christmas and when using it on my hardwood floors it left milky streaks on them, some quite large and pronounced. I did use distilled water, and was diligent in keeping it moving and not letting it sit. I read on line to go over the streaks with vinegar, but that is just double the work. I emailed Bissel with photos--no response. Then I called and talked with an "outsourced" associate who told me it should not be used on floors which had been "wocked" (waxed). Aren't hardwood floors typically waxed?
So basically he said not to use it on my hardwood floors. It did do a nice job on the tile in the bathroom, but it is a pricey item to do one small area of the house. Don't know if this is typical of steam mops, but for now I will stick with my squeegee mop.
