I've been a fan of calphalon cookware for many years now and have multiple pieces but this one is now my new favorite. Older pots and pans are the hand-wash only types and are good for certain uses but my 3 new pieces are the Simply Calphalon and Contemporary Calphalon. The best part about them is they are non-stick and DISHWASHER SAFE. This pan is the perfect size for so many stove-top meals. Excellent product.

My sister gave me a 10" version of the Calphalon everyday pan, I loved it, and wore it out. So, I bought this 12" version. The sides are a little less sloping--not so wok-like. I like not having a long handle to cope with, and it seems a little less heavy than the other, even though it is larger. I'm hoping that the non-stick surface will last longer than 7-8 years, about as long as the other lasted. Love the style most of all.

I've had this pan for a year now and use it at least a couple times a week for everything from scrambled eggs to quesadillas to shrimp and grits.The nonstick is still pristine. I take good care of it - no metal spatulas, no stacking other pots inside it, hand washing with a soft sponge - but it's easy to clean, and I'm very impressed with its durability. The function is top-notch - from frying eggs to searing beef, nothing sticks but everything cooks nicely and stays where you put it in the pan. The lid for this pan also fits just inside the rim of the anodized aluminum wok, so it's even more useful than I expected.

We purchased our first set of Calphalon Contemporary as a wedding present for ourselves (second marriage, small wedding, didn't ask for expensive gifts). Neither my husband or I had ever realized what an incredible difference having high-quality cookware and knives makes in our enjoyment of cooking. Our only disappointment was that the set didn't come with what I am used to calling a Dutch oven (that could go from stove to oven). This pan works perfectly for those recipes where you start by browning and then bake the remainder.
