Rated 5 out of 5 by Versatile and Quality Product Love this pot - Can use for making large batches of soups, stews...insert the pasta piece and it makes cooking and draining a breeze! Love the steamer basket... you can use both the pasta and the steamer together - cook pasta on the bottom/steam your veggies up top. Only drawback is the first couple of times I used for pasta, I boiled over where the 2 pots meet - still trying to figure out what water level I need to use to keep this from happening - but otherwise - extremely pleased!!! 03/02/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Multiple-use Pot ! This pot is a great addition to my very small kitchen, where every square inch of real estate given up to an item of cookware needs the cookware to do dual duty. I was accustomed to a much thinner-bottomed stockpot, and this one is spectacular at simmering all day without burning anything on the bottom. Flavors really get a chance to come together. Veggie steamer and pasta basket make this more than a stockpot and, the pasta basket works great for lifting soaked beans out of the soaking water in one easy motion, for rinsing. Clean-up is easy with sponge and soapy water. Very impressed with this pot. 06/22/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better than expected I purchased this stock pot/steamer to replace an old stainless set. The steamer inserts on this are great. They are large and deep, and nestle into each other without hassle. The pot set is heavy and so far hasn't burnt anything. My only complaint, is that it is sort or hard to clean. It seems soups and sauces stick to the calphalon. They don't adhere, but a little more elbow grease than I expected from a coated product. 02/24/2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good value The 8-quart nonstick multi-pot is a tremendous value. It is significantly less expensive than other Calphalon products. I bought this for my son's home and had great difficulty finding it. Three stores in Austin and in Laredo didn't carry it, so I finally ordered it online. This pot, however, is much less attractive than the older Calphalon pasta pot that I bought years ago. I not only like the shape of my first purchase better, I also like its matching insert. Why in the world would inserts for the new pot be made of a different material? They don't look like Calphalon products. By the way, why isn't "pasta pot" or "pasta insert" part of the name of this product? 11/16/2011
