I must say that the Bodum Brazil 8-cup French Press Coffee Maker makes excellent coffee. I only had one problem with it, namely that after I poured the coffee in my cup I placed the plastic bottom near the warm grates of the stove. Not directly, but near enough that the plastic melted. I wish that the base was stainless steel then this would not have been a problem. I grind my own Columbian and love that the coffee is fresh. Just wish the bottom of the maker was more durable.

We have another french press we have been using for cold brewed coffee. One was not enough :) This additional one is good for its value.

This was my first French press coffee maker. I was reluctant to switch over from drip machines and find that the Keurig is wasteful and often too weak. I feel my French Press up with my sugar substitute and coffee grounds Add Water till it is full and then microwave it for three minutes. I do not have the top attached of course as that has metal. I then put the top on and push the Press part down so that the coffee Brews for a few minutes. I can get the coffee fairly strong doing it this way. What I love most is the increased room on my counter tops. My old coffee maker would need cleaning and would always look unsightly. I am not going back to the old drip machine. I would recommend!

I love coffee. I'm also lazy, live alone, and rushed in the morning, so I always thought a single cup pod brewer was the answer for me. How wrong I was. I can make a rich, bold cup of coffee in the same amount of time it takes to brew one in my single cup machine and the taste is night and day better with this. It is a high quality, durable piece of equipment and it works great for both loose leaf tea and coffee and it won't break the bank. Highly recommended.
