I've been a Levi's guy for 40 years, could always rely on the quality and fit. When my son needed new jeans and a sale on Levi's came up, I thought "no-brainer". First, I couldn't find a pair that fit him (he is thin, but not skinny like I was) so I found the style in the store that fit closest and then ordered a pair at the kiosk in his proper size. The jeans arrived quickly, that's great. However, the quality is awful; they are not true to size (at least two inches too big in the waist and these are slim fit), the stitching is a hot mess with all sorts of loose threads, resewed stitches, the fabric is very light weight and wouldn't live up to the stresses of being on a boy.
Truth be told, I'm not surprised. Ever since Levi's outsourced their manufacturing some years ago, I have had extreme difficulty in finding jeans that fit with great disparity in sizing between different pairs of the same style, same size. Seams are twisted, lengths vary, waist sizes are off by 3 inches, the list goes on.
