There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to start! It failed more times then it brewed a cup of coffee on the K-cup side. It would steam out the water and only fill a tiny bit of coffee; the K-cup tray would tip over and spill grounds into the cup and then get stuck! The last time it got stuck, when it finally pulled out, it went flying and broke my favorite coffee mug. The reservoir often didn't register the amount of water properly not to mention it limits the amount so if you have a larger mug... good luck! The plastic is cheep and warps. The machine is noisy and take forever to brew when and if it brews anything at all. Taking it back for a refund. Hamilton Beach should take these off the market!!

Choice to brew a pot of coffee or use the cups!
You must READ the instructions! Make sure you puncture the top and the back of the cup! If you don't puncture both holes you will have steam and hot water everywhere! Just read the instructions! Great having the option ! Also, you have a basket if you don't want to use the expensive cups ! Didn't receive the coffee mug with the purchase! Called the company and they made it difficult to get the coffee mug I never followed thru. Don't like the coffee pot plate being hot while you make a single cup of coffee!

When we first purchased this coffee maker I was thrilled! I could make a large put for friends, and single serve for our daily use. Well my excitement lasted too little.. each time we place a single service coffee pod.. the water comes out through the bottom of the machine.. HOT water .. all over the counter!! I contacted customer service today and although I do not have my receipt or box I will be returning to the store! Very disappointed!
