But...it seems that many buyers have similar issues with this great idea! I'm going to return it today; it lasted two months before the leaking water, single-serving, k-cup disasters that everyone is ranting about began. Now I cannot use the k-cup side. Maybe the cheap, plastic parts melt or separate inside because the machine seems to pass the water from the reservoire to super heat the water before passing back through the k-cup...makes sense, but does not last!
I too am disappointed because the design was just what I needed. I'm going to look for something better!

The only drawback is that the warming plate heats regardless of which option you choose...k-cup or ground coffee. You have to remember to remove the glass carafe if using k-cup to avoid the chance of glass carafe breaking from the heat of the warming plate, I have had no incidence of k-cups failing to puncture, steam and/or water spraying all over, and the other various negative comments. Have had it for several years and don't want any other. Usually brew a carafe/8 cups on the weekend days and a few k-cups during the week. Have been drinking coffees from all over the world for 60 years and find no decidedly negative taste experiences, regardless of carafe or k-cup...and I use Chock Full O Nuts or Kirkland...both taste as good as the expensive options.

Love the fact that you can make a full pot AND/OR k-cup, however, the k-cup side of the coffepot has malfunctioned twice. I am on my third coffee maker. Love the machine, hope third time is the charm!!!!
