 by kjp22 Beautiful but rusty!
I purchased these as my very first set of silverware when I moved out about 8 months ago. I absolutely loved these until the knives started rusting! So disappointing because they're beautiful. Guests always compliment them but I started noticing rusting and no amount of scrubbing or shining will remove it :( . I haven't called Oneida yet or Kohls but hopefully I can get a new set because I do love them... other than the rusting. I seem to be the only one having this issue.

My husband and I received two sets of these for wedding gifts a little over a year ago, and so far they have been great! I picked them because of their size and pattern - the floral pattern is really pretty and unlike most of the sets we looked at, these didn't have obnoxiously large handles. Just normal sized silverware. Thus far they are still just as shiny as when we got them, no rust, tarnish, or dull shine with everyday use (we hand wash and air dry all our dishes, so no idea if they'd hold up the same in a dishwasher). They're also fairly heavy, and so far we haven't bent any of them, which was way to frequent with our previous set. I love them and would recommend them to anyone.

I bought this silverware set almost a year ago. I waited this long to give a review, because I wanted to see how well they held up. I don't have a dishwasher so I can't tell you if they will hold up to one, but my guess is probably not. I have hand washed, and dried this silverware set right after use for almost a year now, and some of the teaspoons, and tablespoons have what looks like tarnish spots, but do not clean up with tarnish remover. If I would have know that they were going to do this I wouldn't have bought this set.

Before Thanksgiving we discovered we did not have enough flatware for everyone coming for dinner. So we bought the 20 piece set of this pattern thinking it will match enough to meet the need. It so exceeded our expectations that we ordered the 45 piece set in the same pattern. Although my older flatware was Oneida (circa 1978), I found this current pattern is much more sturdy and very well manufactured. It exceeded out expectations.
