I've had my pressure cooker for about two years now and love it!! I can cook a frozen roast in 45 to 50 minutes and it'll be falling apart tender!!! I've taken frozen chicken wings, poured bbq sauce on them, after they cook I take them out and out them on a pan and pour the bbq juice from the pan onto the wings... Then throw them in the oven for about 15/20 mins!! Everyone loves my wings over my husbands now, now that's saying something around here!!! I got the stainless steel with blue and looks great!! I use this all the time!!

On August 16, 2016 I ordered the "Elite Platinum 8-qt. Stainless Steel Electric Pressure Cooker" for $*redacted*. It arrived on August 22, 2016. Upon removing the cooker from the box, the pressure cooker label reads "Elite Bistro" and it is not an âElite Platinumâ as advertised and pictured on Kohlâs website. We checked the manufacturers website and they don't sell any pressure cookers called an "Elite Bistro." They do however sell "refurbished" items, and we feel that is what Kohl's *redacted*. In my opinion, that smacks of bait *redacted* or this could be a knock *redacted* version.
My wife and I first used it two days ago and cooked a 3 pound chicken to test the unit. We followed the instructions to the letter. Please note, there is a black plastic pressure release valve on the top and it has white printed lettering for the positions of the valve that read "Exhaust, Air Tight, and Exhaust", however the valve rotates 360 degrees and there are three additional and completely unmarked positions. When it was time to release the pressure, and per the instructions, we used a set of tongs to turn the valve to the "Exhaust" position. The steam came out so violently all of the white letters were literally steamed off the valve itself. Now there are no visible markings, and we have no idea as to the correct and safe settings for the six possible positions. In my opinion, this factor alone could present a very dangerous burn hazard. That being said, when we finally removed the top, the chicken was not fully cooked and we subsequently had to repeat the process by doubling the cooking time.
Today we attempted to make beef stew. We again followed the instructions to the letter, but because the markings on the valve had been steamed off, it took awhile before we could obtain an air tight seal and had to use tongs to position the valve or we would have been severely burned by the escaping steam. Once the valve was in the correct position, the steam escaped from around lid itself, and it was in the "Locked" position every time. It took many attempts to get the inner gasket to finally engage and seal completely. When it was time to remove the top, once again the food was not fully cooked and we had to repeat the entire cooking process. Upon removing the stew from the alleged ânon-stickâ insert, we noticed portions of the alleged ânon-stickâ coating was gone from the surface of the insert in two places. Both are approximately an inch long and half an inch wide. It should be noted that we used a wooden spoon to stir the mixture and believe that could not possibly have been the reason for the ânon-stickâ material to peel off. Perhaps it's so ânon-stickâ, it will not adhere to the *redacted* itself, however we all know that's not the case.
I again went to the manufacturerâs website at *redacted* and ordered a stainless steel insert (from their "Accessory" page) for an additional cost of $*redacted*. They state that it is the "gourmet" liner, it is sold without a "non-stick" coating, however the price is almost double!
In my opinion, Kohl's is advertising one thing, but *redacted* and selling a potentially very *redacted* product. Given the above, I will never do business with Kohl's again. Simply put, they have lost my trust. I will also be calling the manufacturer tomorrow to inform them of the above information I have provided in this review.

User-friendly. Quick. Easy. There was no owner's manual in the box but I was able to find it online. All you have to do is set the timer and press start. I would recommend this. Bye-bye slow cooker. Hello pressure cooker! A must-have!

I first saw this pressure cooker at my sisters. We had a wonderful meal in less then an hour. The turkey breast was frozen, too. It was flavorful, had pan drippings for gravy, easy to clean & all this in an hour...I knew I needed to have one for just those quickie meals. There was nothing I didn't love about my new Elite Ele. Pressure Cooker!
