I have had Rowenta irons in the past, believing them to be the best. I had a problem with the last one I purchased and decided to give Black & Decker a try. I am very happy with my purchase as this iron is awesome! It heats up quickly and irons my clothes nicely, no sticking or unexpected singe/burn marks. The iron stays nice and clean on the bottom making it glide over all fabrics. I also like the large water reservoir. My only complaint is it is hard to see how much water is actually in the reservoir. The iron looks nice, but a clear or at least a lighter color blue would make it easier to view when filling or when checking to see if more water is needed.

I like this iron because it is nice and heavy- they don't make them like that anymore- but the heaviness adds to the performance. It has great steam ability yet the only thing I didn't like about it was the placement of the steam/spray buttons- It is an awkward feeling for my thumb to push the steam button - I wish they were switched--- I know, petty... all in all I really liked this Iron for the price!

I got this as a replacement for my Rowenta that finally needed to retire after 15 years. I used it for the first time yesterday and it did surprisingly well for not having water spray. You control the amount of steam that comes out and combined with the weight, the wrinkles just disappear!

Works just fine, turns itself off if I forget to like it's supposed to, and it weighs a bit more than you'd expect; that's a GOOD thing, because it means the iron works better in removing wrinkles, but if you're a delicate flower you might think it's too heavy.
