My grandson had the G Shock watch on his Christmas list. Since I did not know anything about this type of watch, I researched on-line and then went into Kohl's store for a look see. As you will find out there are many designs, colors, prices. Decided to go to Kohl's on-line for a closer look. Picked out one I thought my grandson would like., He loved it for his birthday gift close to Christmas and wore it to school that day. The G-Shock watch is a well-known watch for young students and adults. Even though I had the watch mailed directly to him by Kohl's and did not see it. He is very happy with his watch.

I have probably owned 3-5 G Shock watches over the years and this is by far the best one to date. The "never" having to set it or find a battery is one of my favorite options. It has held up under what I would consider "extreme" conditions and hasn't failed me yet. Nothing lasts forever and when it's time to replace this one, I hope I can find an exact replica. In addition my ability to comprehend and read that little book of instructions is very low... The watch is very user friendly.

I have a VERY bad habit of damaging watches with far less impact strength than this one.
Best of all it keeps itself tuned to wherever you live once set up!
I leave mine in the sunlight every few days to fully charge the solar powered battery, which really doesn't take that long for a full charge.
It's not a dress watch by any means, but if you want to stay in synch with the larger atomic time keepers this is a great watch!

I just bought my third one of these...the first 2 have been stolen. I love the atomic accuracy and the fact that it charges the battery with solar power means it should last a very long time if no one steals it. I got my dad one when I bought the first one, which was at least 4 years ago and his is still going strong. It can be hard to set the first time, but once you do, you can pretty much just let it take care of itself. The 3 little dials on the front can be hard to read, but they do serve a purpose. For some reason, the model with the black bezel costs more, but I think the chrome one looks better and more expensive. Other than that, they seem to be identical. These newer models are compatible with radio signals all over the world, so these are really great for world travelers. Not too big or heavy, but still feels very solid and well-made.
