Rated 4 out of 5 Attachments need work First off, let me say this vacuum picks up dog hair like nothing I've ever used. I have two Jack Russells, and one "shoots" hair just standing still. I have hardwood floors throughout, with a few throw rugs, and this thing really is great at cleaning both surfaces. And I do love that the maneuverability of the unit. The upholstery attachment works wonderfully...if it wasn't for having to fight the hose. It is difficult to maneuver the attachments because of the way the hose coils, and I end out fighting the hose the entire time I'm using the tools. The crevice tool doesn't work very well at all, doesn't seem that the suction from vacuum makes its way to the end. 04/08/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by THE BEST EVER Have already recommended this to my sister same day I purchased mine. I already own a table Dyson Fan. I have been wanting a cordless vac for touch ups after trimming my Pekinese and for the stairs and cob webs that tend to find their way in corners etc. I also own Dyson floor vac, which is also great and powerful, but didn't want to detach and lug it around to do my stairs etc. This light weight cordless is perfect and powerful. Need only a few seconds to do the job. Cleans quick and you are done. Reading the creation of this invention and its history was even a better reason to purchase their products because of it being reliable and dependable. 02/17/2015
Rated 4 out of 5 Second Dyson My first Dyson (DC25) just made 10 years with absolutely no issue what so ever. We live in a two story house and I am tire of carrying the unit up and down. Hence, I bought a second one...The DC50. The unit seems more powerful yet it is lighter and smaller. I had the unit for about one week, then the brush stopped working. The on-off switch for the brush is not responding at all. I brought the unit to the service center and the technician could not locate the problem. Since the unit is practically new, they gave me another one. So far the the replace unit is working fine. The only comment I have is the hose is not long enough to reach higher places. 02/02/2015
Rated 4 out of 5 Great! This is a great vacuum cleaner. We were so impressed with how powerful it is. We were also shocked by how little our old vacuum actually cleaned. I'm less impressed by the moving parts. There are lots of little things that come out of the vacuum and get stuck and don't easily come off the vacuum. Also, the vacuum falls over a lot because it's top heavy. That part isn't so great, but I suppose stability isn't the most important thing in a vacuum. Finally, there are lots of cheap plastic parts, which, if they were to break, would seriously impair the use of the vacuum. If they do break, I'll be upset about spending so much money. 02/13/2015
