Rated 5 out of 5Â by RedNeckMom Top of the line Excalibur new model - Great Price
I borrowed a similar model from a friend and I loved it. Excalibur makes a great low end product but I wanted High end: stainless steel racks and exterior. Top of the line Excalibur 9 trays gave me 10 times the area I needed to dry large quantities of food. I borrowed a round dehydrator from a family member and it just did not hold the large amount of food I needed to dry. Square made sense to me. Just a really great product. I can raise homemade bread dough inside too. Wow! It just keeps surprising me.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and I have already used it and love the timer .I wouldn't buy one without the timer! My only regret is that we did not get paraflex sheets .The book that came with it was also really helpful. Definitely would buy again!!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Lilian Tiro Just received my Excalibur 9 Tray Stainless Steel Food Dehydrator today. I bought it from Raw Nutrition here in Canada. I opted to review it here because I have a suggestion about the placement of the knobs and the guid. I just wished that I had the choice to get the not clear door. Too early too make a review about its performance but I will come back sometime after I have tested some recipes. My only comment is that the placement of the drying guide table and the control knobs for the temperature settings and timer is not convenient for someone like me who is not tall. The dehydrator is now sitting on my kitchen counter under a kitchen cabinet. It is too far back and because it is under a kitchen cabinet the knobs and the guide are not readily visible. I need to stand on a step stool. I hope that in the future Excalibur would design the dryer so that these knobs are placed at an angle or on a raised small platform at an angle facing the user. If this is technically not feasible I suggest to include a sticker for the guide. For now, my option is to copy the guide on an index card and stick it on the cabinet door above the dehydrator. In the attached photo, is that gap between the door and the side of the dehydrator the normal gap? All of the photos of the Excalibur dehydrators show the lift door not attached to the dehydrator. Please let me know. Thank you.
