My nine year old son is autistic and he has this at school and church. It is the first thing he takes out and will occupy him for hours. Second only to his dinosaurs, there is something about the order of this toy that calms him and his helpful with his fine motor skills. I would recommend this to any parent of young children, but if you have an autistic child of any age it is a great toy to have around.

I have this in my preschool classroom. The children love this as a math station to visit. They use it to copy patterns, create thier own and also counting. I had to order another set for home for my own child. It is a great value and everything fits back into the storage conatainer.

Bought this for my 2 year grandson. What a wonderful concept! But the colors and shapes and "pattern boards" are very difficult for him (and grandma) to distinguish. Melissa and Doug need to rework this product before I would recommend
