Rated 5 out of 5 by Possibly the Best Polish... EVER!! A cult classic, Essie's Lilacism might be my favorite polish ever-- if not, definitely in my top 5 out of my 100 purples, 200 Essies, and 500 nail polishes (yes, I know I have way, way, way too many nail polishes ;)). The formula is perfection, super creamy and just 2 coats (which is saying something for a light purple like this one), and the color is the prettiest color ever, in my opinion (a light purple with gray undertones). I polish my nails regularly, and am an expert at nail art, which this polish is great for. Essie is my favorite brand, and this is just a brilliant nail polish. If you could only have one nail polish, this should be it!! Definitely buy! :) 03/07/2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by It's blue Just bought this. First coat is extremely streaky and watery looking, but you're good to go with a second coat. In my opinion, if I am paying the extra money for a slightly higher priced drug store polish I like to have an even coat with my first application (especially since my nails last no longer than a week and it's going to come off fairly soon). However, the color just isn't lilac at all. For me it is not a matter of lighting but it's simply a soft baby blue (which if that's what you want then it's a lovely color). Overall, this is being returned (thank you CVS). 02/26/2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hmmm... When I first bought this colour, it was the perfect lilac shade for my skin tone and I loved it. After a while though, I noticed that the colour in the bottle turned light blue with no purple in it at all. I applied it and the colour was a light blue on my nails too. At first, I thought that it was only because I stored the nail polish in a spot that made the colour turn blue. But all my other Essie nail polishes that were stored there did not change in colour. So I bought another bottle, and the same thing happened. I bought a third bottle, and my results were the same. Overall, I was disappointed that it turned to light blue, because the original lilac shade looked really good on me and I loved it a lot. Maybe its just me? 02/10/2015
