I needed something to keep active while sitting at the desk all day.
This machine works great for biking, it's very quiet and I can keep working and typing just fine.
We also have a table that can raise and lower with the monitor and keyboard on it so that I can either Stand or sit, or in this case even use the eliptical side of this machine.
It works fine for me and those who complain of no handles when using the eliptical, you could always put a chair right in front of you for a little stability.
Chair needs to be a little higher for pedaling I found out, with good straight up back support.
My disappointment is I didn't get this product sooner. For at least 6 years I have been sitting behind a desk for at least 8 hours a day without getting circulation in my legs or any exercise. This helps me stay fit while working.

Its not quite the same as the big machines but it does get the job done and its nice and easy to hide. My legs are short so its a bit closer to a natural stride but my daughter is very tall. She said it felt odd at first not striding out but she does agree it gives you a workout. Due to a foot injury I have not been able to run for months and have been riding my stationary bike. This helps get me closer to the running without all the impact.

I bought this item 11 months ago. I use it as a cycle under my desk while I work on the computer. I don't even notice that I'm exercising. I average 7 miles per day! I'm 47 years old and my legs are in the absolute best shape they have ever been in! I recently wore a dress to work and two coworkers asked if I had taken up running because my calves look so great! This little piece of equipment is AWESOME! I highly recommend it!
Rated 3 out of 5Â by Bluebird11 Heavy & too big to fit under most desks/tables
Uggh, and assembly required ! Stuck at a desk during work and wanted a way to maintain fitness. This is NOT it. Quite heavy and awkward to move around. Too big to fit under most desk --and unless you work at a really high desk, there is no room to move your knees up and down to use this. Have to look for something else. And have to lug this thing back in for return. --Disappointed.
