 by PAshC Scratches floors/Brooken hose
I've had this vacuum for a little over year now. Today the hose broke. There is a wire or something that helps the hose maintain it's shape, it separated from the end plastic piece and receded into the hose. So now the suction forces the hose to close in on itself hence enabling it's ability to work. From day one when we got it, we noticed it scratched the wood floors. We glued felt to the wheels to fix this issue. Also on the hard wood floors it skipped over dirt and larger particles. I always had to go back over it with the wand to get the floors clean. I would not recommend it.

My machine is only 4 months old. Worked great up til today. The on/off switch does not work! What a pain. i called Hoover and they want me to take to a repair center. I don't have time for that. After 4 months it should not be broken already. I will be buying a different brand.

We used to have a Hoover vacuum cleaner and we used it for many years. It never gave us any troubles. So we decided to buy a Hoover product again when we need a vacuum cleaner. But this one only lasted two and half years. When we called the Hoover Customer Support, we were told that the warranty is only for two years and they cannot do anything after that. It is hard to believe that the quality of Hoover products is so poor now. We will try to avoid buying Hoover products again.
