Rated 1 out of 5Â by Santhanam It just worked only once
I just bought this rice cooker yesterday and tried to cook the rice. The unit worked once only and now it never switch ON. Both indicators are off and the cooker never switch ON. I am very disappointed. The instruction manual do not give any diagnostic information. I know Black and Decker is a good company and strong in home appliance but I am not happy with this product. Whatever it is , rice cooker failing to switch ON after one use is very disappointing. I wonder what Black and Decker can advise me on this and their response to my situation.

I have been using this model for 2 years. It is the best one out there for the price. I cooked rice for 200 people and asked for people to let me use their rice cookers. I got 11 of them - all different brands. Expensive fancy, small and complicated, simple ones, digital with a bunch of buttons.... but overall, the Black & Decker Rice Cooker Plus was the hands down favorite for simplicity, quality of cooked product and durability. I will also add that I cook EVERYTHING in this cooker. Lamb chops, gumbo, curry chicken, every kind of rice, stew, even broth and matzo balls. I love this machine. My mom has one and my daughter took one to college.

What a aweful product, Kohls should stop selling such items. Broken after a week's usage. Looks like other reviews coincide. Not worth a return trip.

Well, it worked well the first two times I used it.
Then I tried to use it today, and it does not work at all.
So I basically got two batches of rice for 15$ a pop, and now I have a broken appliance on my countertop.
The build quality of this cooker is absolutely horrendous. I would not recommend this product to anyone I know (not anyone I like at least.)
Frankly, based on my recent experience with this product, I wouldn't recommend Black and Decker ANYTHING, to Anyone.
How can a company release a product that will quit after two uses?
