I love this little sweeper. However, it stopped charging. A few months ago I noticed that it was taking longer than before to charge. It would be plugged in all night and not change from red to green. Now when I plug-in the charger there's no light at all.

I have had this sweeper for approx 9 months. It does charge but only holds a charge for about two uses. I followed the instructions regarding initial charging when I got the product but the light turned green within an hour and I knew something probably was not right. I have used it anyway for quick pick ups. Yesterday it would not turn on at all. I had just charged it so I dont know what could be wrong. I have had the Bissell Turbo Sweep in the past and was happy with that. I dont know why this similar product is so dissappointing. Bissell, you might want to look into these complaints. As I have seen on this site tonight, the're all similar issues.

Full disclosure, I, too, had battery issues with my first one. I won it at a pet charity auction, so had no receipt. Bissell customer service was great; first sending me a new charger, which was not the problem, and then sending me a whole new sweeper, which did work fine. So, customer service gets a 5-star rating.
As for performance, I would say it's better than average. I've had many sweepers, and for the doghair tumbleweeds this one works very well on floors. But I have noticed that it doesn't easily pick up heavier items, like dog food. I have mostly hardwood floors with a few area rugs. This sweeper doesn't work so well on rugs/carpets but I'm not sure if it's supposed to. My 20-year-old bagged Hoover handles that job, though.
One great feature that puts this sweeper ahead of the others is the rubber blades. They are so easy to clean. The pet hair does get wrapped around the edges of the axel and around the tiny wheels, but I guess R&D hasn't solved that problem yet (anything with wheels has this problem). Overall I'm happy with it.

I purchased this product yesterday to have something small and quick to use around my wood floors with my two cats. I had it plugged in and when the light turned green indicating it was charged, I tried to use even thought it was under the suggested 24 hours. The roller spun slowly for a couple seconds and stopped. I have since had it plugged for over 24 hours even though the indicator light has been green. I just tried to use and it is still not working even close to full power. I am upset with myself that I already threw away the packaging and doubt I can return. I have not even been able to use this product for it's desired purpose and I am already supremely disappointed.
