I love Essie's colored nail polish so I decided to try no chips ahead. I had so much difficulty with it not drying- it took forever! Even when it seemed dry I would wake up in the morning with sheet prints on my nails. I tried many different ways of using it: doing my nails early in the morning, using no chips after the colored polish had dried, I even tried blow drying my nails with a hair dryer set to low cool. Nothing worked! In frustration I googled no chips ahead reviews and found out that many people have had the same problem for a while- Essie you have great products and a great reputation for quality so why has this issue not been resolved?

Wow, I really, really wish I had read the reviews for this product before buying it at my local drugstore. I have never used an Essie product before, but I needed a new topcoat and wanted to give the brand a try after hearing so many lovely things about their polish.
It never dries completely, my nails are smudgey and gluey feeling even after about 10 hours post painting. My manicure was completely ruined. It's an extremely thin, watery product with a strong odor, I do not recommend this at all, get ANYTHING else.
All in all, I regret that I did not keep the receipt from my purchase. Given the amazing things I have heard about Essie, this is a major disappointment. I will not be making further purchases from this company.

I just started buying Essie products and I love the broad spectrum of colors they offer. I decided to buy some of their clear polish so I bought matte about you (which I haven't tried yet), gel setter (only used once) and No chips ahead. This product I only used on my toes over the color virgin snow and I noticed that it left pink streaks on my toes. I decided to purchase another clear polish and started to read the reviews on a few of them and am disappointed in the reviews about this product. I will only use it from now on as a clear polish but not in conjunction with another Essie polish. Purhaps I will try the all in one next time.

Usually I use Essie's "Good to Go" top coat, but bought this on before reading the reviews. When I used it, I treated it just like a slow-drying nail polish. After I applied it, I stuck my fingertips in ice water for about 15 min., then gently dried and let air dry another 15 min. After that, it was pretty much good and dry without bubbles. Needless to say, I only use this top coat when I want a really long lasting manicure. It's time consuming, but worth it.
