Rated 2 out of 5 by very upsetting about this product This is the second time I'm ordering this. I order one a couple of months ago and tried it. The meat inside didn't cook all the way in 6 hours. I was then told by a friend that because the lid wasn't sitting on it flat, it let the steam out. So I bought another one to see, that lid sits that same way. I don't understand how all these reviews are great when I bought two of the same and the lid is the same, not flat sitting. I just don't know to keep this now. But I guess I'm stuck with it since I got rid of the box from a couple of months ago. Very confused on how to handle this. I guess I will have to call the company themselves to complain. Already returned the one I just bought to compare it too. 10/05/2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Does not cook slow at all. I own the SCCPVC709-S 7qt. Programmable Stainless Crock Pot. It cooks waaaay too hot. Example: I put my chili ingredients on high and in about 1.5 hours it is bubbling and boiling. I turn it down to "keep warm" and it continues to boil. I take the lid off and it continues to boil. My husband ruined 2 roasts last week that were charred after being put on the "low" setting for the day. I guess we'll be replacing this with another brand. The size is great, but I can't leave it unattended so it really isn't very useful. My old crockpot (5 qt) I had for about 10-12 years was great, but not big enough for our large family. 10/24/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect size, great colors I purchased this in purple for my daughter to use in college. I should have gotten another for myself.. I have always loved the Crockpot brand, their customer support is excellent.( I have had other pots with lids that are attached so you can leave open during a buffet service, but I find the simpler the better. The idea was great, but the plastic doesn't hold up.) So I am sticking with the less is more when it comes to features on these items. You won't be disappointed with this purchase, it does just what it is supposed to do- Toss in the ingredients and come home to a hot delicious meal. 12/23/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a great cook I've become! We went for the 7 qt. if I'm going to cook I want to make a lot of good food. We're so glad to have purchased this product. First thing I did was to heat water on "low setting" and learn the temps than I shut it off, let it cool down, then went to the "high setting." Last week I cooked a 6 lb. beef pot roast, carrots, potatoes, etc. following the enclosed suggestions. Ran it for 5-6 hours...came out awesome and soooo tender. Got 5-stars for that. New Years Eve, we did a 13 lb. turkey. I took the skin off, carved the breast off, separated the sections and laid it in the pot with all the seasons....was fell from the bones....another 5-stars. Best thing I bought for the kitchen and me! 01/04/2013
