I'm in love with this pan!! It heats so evenly and cleans up easily. I have used it with almost every meal I have cooked since I got it. I use it more as a skillet. Love it.

I hesitated about keeping this beautiful pot due to its heaviness, but the more I looked at it sitting out on my table while I was deciding, the more I couldn't part with it , so I seasoned the exposed cast iron rims and used it for the first time. Loved it! This is the first cast iron piece I've owned, but it is so versatile, I think it will meet all of my cooking needs.

This saute pan is a definite necessity in any kitchen for any cook. It is constructed with high quality cast iron features, the blue is gorgeous--a vibrant and deep cobalt blue. This pan is great for everything from browning meats, creating sauces, and excellent for dishes such as arroz con pollo! It features a wide base and it is just deep enough to cook meatballs in or any other simmered meat, chicken, vegetable, or fish dish. When simmered on low / medium heat I have never had an issue with burning or overcooking. If you only have the 5 basic pans that every chef reccommends--this is 1 of them to keep for life.

Only used once so far but with appropriate care, it should be a long lasting item. Be sure to treat gently with silicone type utensils only and wash by hand -- takes extra care/caution in using/cleaning as it IS HEAVIER than the normal 'pan'.
