I purchased the iron on 8/1/14 and everything was fine worked great. Well today 1/9/15 while ironing it just died.
It started leaking water at the bottom, the electronic temperature gauge started buzzing and then it completely and utterly died.
Would not recommend this iron to anyone.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by StLRealtor We read about this iron in Consumer Reorts and purchased it several years ago.
We have owned some very expensive irons, including a Rowenta. This is by far the best iron we have ever owned. It is simple to operate, intuitive in it's controls, has great steam and never sputters. Unfortunately, after daily use for a long time it now has a high-pitched beep when it is on. This is the same beep it made when changing the fabric selection, but it is continuous until I unplug it. I will have to see if it stops and if not I will buy a new one. And yes, I would buy the same iron again!

We purchased the iron in 2009 and it just died yesterday (Oct, 2014). While it served us well, there are few design flaws that I expected this machine to have been fixed.
1. The digital controls are annoying because every time you turn it on, you have press the button several times to get the setting you want. A simple dial could have solved this problem.
2. The digital display is also annoying as it starts to flicker or fade away after a few years. I simply counted the number of beeps to set the heat at desired level. Again, a simple dial could solve the problem.
Even now itâs the internal electronic that has failed. The mechanical parts (i.e. heating elements) still work perfectly.
As much as I like electronics, there are few things that work better when they are mechanical.

Iron was working fine. Shut it off. The next time I went to use it the dial to set clean and steam setting would not move!! It was jammed as if it had been krazy glued! It would no loner steam as I had turned it down as per instructions. I now have a paper weight.
