I suffered a stroke 5 years ago. KitchenAid 2 slice toaster was a good choice after I purchased a KitchenAid convection oven with no problems. However, the toaster does not completely pop up when it's finished toasting. Unfortunately I waited too long to return it. Really poor design. I looked at images of KitchenAid toaster's and thy all do the same thing. The unit gets hot, so I have to wait until the toast, beagle or waffle cools down to were I can hold it. This defeats the purpose.

So far so good the toaster is working fine. We like the size of it and the fact that it does bagels on one side. Glad we bought it.

More features than the previous kitchen aid toaster in our home. The alarm that announces the muffin/toast is done is a feature that helps with timing breakfast on the table. The cancel button is nice rather than just lifting the pop up lever to check if the toast is done, you push this button and cancel the toast. Setting to dial number 3 is perfect for English muffins, not trial and error with this toaster. The only improvement I would suggest is that when the muffin is complete it does not pop up over the top edge, I have to lift the lever to elevate the muffin out of the toaster so my suggestion is to make the toaster push the muffin just above the top edge of the toast.

The toaster is exactly what I wanted EXCEPT for the lift lever. When I go to push it down it takes two fingers to push at the end. I have arthritis and I'm disappointed in this feature, otherwise the toaster is what I wanted.
