Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the hype and the money I am so thrilled to finally get my very own KitchenAid mixer. There was nothing wrong with my previous mixer other than it tends to be too small for all of the things I want to do with it. I am so glad I decided to upgrade. This is such a high quality appliance and worth every penny. It is a bit louder than I am used to; however I also realize that it has a much, much larger motor than any mixer I have every had, This is something I was aware of through reading other reviews though. Overall, it has worked extremely well. I am glad to finally be able to make enough filling to make 2 pies at once and look forward to getting all sorts of attachments! 02/02/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Make your life a little easier especially in the kitchen. I just received my mixer on Christmas and only had a few chances to use it but boy did it make a difference when trying to make 15 mini loafs for a Holiday wish. I am also glad I got the silver it matches everything in my kitchen. I am really looking forward to using it for my RED HATTERS, HOMEMAKERS, RETIREMENT CLUB AND CHURCH, pot lucks and gatherings in the neighborhood. I already enjoy cooking and I KNOW this will help me tremendously. My next attempt will be making my mother-in-laws family recipe for coffee cake and pecan rolls, it will be so much easier with the dough hook. Wish me luck! A very happy customer of the Kitchen Aid Professional Mixer. 02/02/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING!!! After wanting a KitchenAid mixer for years, I received one as a Christmas gift. It has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen! This is a very versatile appliance, depending on which attachments you have you can do just about anything. It makes baking quick and easy, and clean up is very simple. I prefer having the large 6 quart mixing bowl capacity and lift verses the smaller models I have used. I think the larger mixer is worth the extra money over the smaller models, because of the increased power and capacity. I look forward to purchasing attachments for my mixer and utilizing it even more for many years to come. 02/09/2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Strong but needs tending Have used the mixer so far for cookies, bread and cake. Am pleased that the motor holds up under the load of kneading, but disappointed that the paddle/hook/beater do not come close enough to the edge of the bowl. Need to stop and scrape the sides down with a spatula quite frequently to make sure all the ingredients get incorporated. Maybe I'm just too accustomed to being able to keep the sides scraped, since all of my baking/mixing to this point has been done with a wooden spoon. Getting the bowl back onto the pegs is also very difficult and basically impossible with one hand. Glad to have the mixer, since my wrists won't tolerate hand mixing anymore, but wish it was a little better design. 02/17/2015
