We purchased this umbrella little over 4 months ago and loved it. The crisp stripes complement our dark furniture and gray/white deck perfectly. Sadly the quality of this product is lacking. We removed our umbrella from the stand and laid it on the deck so it wouldn't be blown about during a storm. When we went to place it back into the stand the top had come off, wires from the lights were dangling, and the actual pole appeared to have cracked from the top making it impossible to put back together. I'm not sure how this could have happened...but it clearly is not durable enough to be an outdoor product. We're hoping to return the item....in the meantime I would suggest that if you do make this purchase....handle with care. It's fragile!

I love the umbrella. It looks great on my patio. It gives plenty of shade one my patio which has sun all day long. The faults with it are that the lights don't work. I ordered a new one to replace the one I have but it came damaged. So I returned that one and ordered another one and that too came damaged. The material on the top wasn't put on properly and the wires were showing both times. So I just have the umbrella with the lights that don't work. I will more than likely return this one as well and find something new next year.

My husband and I didn't want to spend a ton of money on an umbrella for our patio because we had a budget to stick to.
This umbrella is nicely designed and the tilt feature is great for the low afternoon sun.
The material was a bit lighter than I expected it to be and we will see how well it holds up in the wind. Our pool deck has a built in umbrella hole which it fits into nicely but we did have to retrofit the hole with some vinyl cupplings to ensure the umbrella didn't sway all the time as the fit wasn't perfect. The umbrella states it is solar but to this day we haven't been able to flip the switch and have the lights come on, rather for the lights to work it requires the AC adapter be plugged in. No directions came with the umbrella, we were unsure as to whether or not we had to have that plugged in in order to "charge" the umbrella. After two days the solar lights still did not work without the adapter.

Our first patio umbrella was great, but fell victim to a thunderstorm. This replacement had a pull in the fabric, so now we need to remove it and return it. Kind of a pain. Hoping they'll help us out at the store.
